The International Rescue Committee is working in 18 countries around the world to provide family planning services to women whose lives have been turned upside down by war, persecution or natural disaster. Contraception is a crucial component of health care; for women whose daily lives are defined by violence and uncertainly, family planning provides an important sense of control amid chaos.
