On an early spring morning in northern Jordan, as the sun rises above the city of Irbid, Afaf Ahmadi and Mohammed Al Zoubani make their way to a small house perched high on a leafy hilltop. Small children bound down the home’s cracked concrete steps to greet the familiar faces.
