More than 3,000 people have been killed in the recent fighting in Yemen and a million have fled their homes—the newly displaced joining hundreds of thousands of people uprooted by previous waves of conflict.
Fighting in Yemen has uprooted more than one million people. Even before the conflict began almost fourth months ago, over half the population lacked access to safe drinking water, and Yemen’s child malnutrition rates ranked among the world’s worst.
As the crisis continues, the International Resue Committee has been getting deliveries of lifesaving medicines and supplies through to hospitals in southern Yemen.
