Over the past few months, I’ve bumped into the code in a number of contexts, from discussions in preparation for the World Humanitarian Summit at the 2014 ECHO Annual Partners Conference, to an IFRC and NRC-hosted event reflecting on 20 years of the Code of Conduct, to blog posts and articles on humanitarian practice.
If I’m perfectly honest, I haven’t really thought about the Red Cross, Red Crescent and NGO Humanitarian Code of Conduct in years. Like many in the business, it’s something I read at some point early in my career and have not returned to since. At least not consciously and systematically.
