Aerial attacks with barrel bombs and other cruel tactics of the war in Syria have killed over 200,000 people and caused extreme trauma and suffering for survivors, especially children and youth. Over 11.4 million Syrians have been driven from their homes. Nearly four million of them have fled to safety, but face a precarious future in neighboring countries whose capacity to absorb the refugees is becoming increasingly strained as the crisis enters its fifth year.
