The International Rescue Committee staff is deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague Selahdin Mohamed, 33, who was killed in a road accident in southeastern Ethiopia on September 25. The six other IRC staff members who were in the vehicle were hospitalized and are in stable condition.
Selahdin and his colleagues were returning to the IRC office in Jijiga from a remote field site where they were overseeing construction of a school. Their vehicle overturned about 20 miles south of the town of Kebrebyah.
