A group of 15 young Syrian women decided to have the "difficult talk" with their husbands through a social therapy workshop organized together with the IRC and Lebanese performer and social therapist Sabine Choucair.
The International Rescue Committee, together with Lebanese performer and social therapist Sabine Choucair, helped a group of young Syrian women organize a social therapy workshop to speak openly and freely about their fears and concerns with their husbands and mother-in-laws. Talking about touchy issues is never easy, especially with spouses and in-laws. These women decided to do just that, but in a way that would allow them to approach the “difficult talk” in a creative manner. Sabine shares their story.
