Fitting into the cityscape: How can we improve crisis prevention and response in urban settings?

Everything is heightened in a city. Populations are large, commercial interests are huge and there is little space, literally, for mistakes to be made. As a result working in cities can feel intimidating. Organizations such as the International Rescue Committee engage in emergency responses following crises and disasters, and more and more we see these actions taking place in urban settings.
