Triphose was only 13 years old when she and her three-year-old sister Lidane became separated from their parents during the violence that followed disputed elections in Ivory Coast in 2010. They were away from home for an entire year before International Rescue Committee social workers — carrying photos and databases of missing children on their mobile phones — were able to reunite them.
