American University's chapter of Project Nur hosted a cultural fair to support the International Rescue Committee's work with Syrian refugees.
On April 12, American University's chapter of Project Nur, a student group interested in fostering dialogue between Muslim students and non-Muslim students, hosted an event to support the International Rescue Committee's work with Syrian refugees.
The cultural fair featured the Silk Road Dance Company, which presented Afghan, Azerbaijani and Persian dances, as well as performances by student dancers. Attendees had their names inscribed in Arabic by master calligrapher Josh Berer and their hands painted with henna.
