With two months of cold winter nights to come, the IRC and UNICEF have been working together to provide coats, sweaters and other clothing to protect refugee children from the elements. “Our priority for winter is to make sure children are warm,” says the IRC's Marwan Lahoud.
The International Rescue Committee is providing support to hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees as well as Syrians inside their war-torn country. We are currently helping refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria. We will begin work in Turkey in early 2014.
