More than a month after Typhoon Haiyan tore through the Philippines, recovery work continues across the archipelago. The IRC is helping to rebuild homes and lives across the devastated Visayas region. “Entire communities don’t have a place to live,” says the IRC's Greg Matthews.

More than a month after Typhoon Haiyan tore through the Philippines, recovery work continues across the archipelago. The Category 5 “super typhoon,” which recorded sustained wind speeds as high as 195 mph, is the deadliest storm in the history of the nation, killing more than 6,000 people and displacing 4.1 million others, affecting in all more than 14 million Filipinos.
