Earlier this year, the IRC established seven schools in northern Syria. Housed in tents, our schools provide a safe space for more than 2,500 displaced Syrian children to learn, play games, make friends and recover from the trauma of war.
Sue Dwyer, the International Rescue Committee's senior representative for our Syria crisis response shared this update on the IRC's work in Syria in an email to supporters this week:
In nearly two decades with the International Rescue Committee, I have worked in some of the world's most troubled places, from Bosnia to Syria.
